Acceptable use policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
Uplance connects to other people's servers on your behalf and publishes pages anyone can see. These rules keep it from being turned against anyone. They're part of our terms of service.
Monitor only what you may monitor
Only add monitors for websites, APIs, servers, databases and other systems that you own, operate, or have permission to monitor. Choose check intervals that are reasonable for the system you're checking, and only enter credentials you're allowed to use for that purpose.
Don't use Uplance against anyone
Don't use Uplance to overload, stress-test or attack a system, including by spreading many monitors across accounts or workspaces that point at the same target. Don't use it to scan networks or look for vulnerabilities, to probe systems you aren't allowed to test, or to reach private or internal networks that aren't yours.
Don't try to get around the protections we have in place, such as the limit on requests per host, the checks-per-minute budget of each workspace, the limit on how many workspaces may monitor the same destination, blocked destinations and the protection of private addresses.
Keep status pages and alerts clean
Status pages are public. Don't publish anything unlawful, misleading, hateful or infringing on them, don't impersonate another person or organisation, and don't use them to collect other people's data.
Only add people to alert channels, invitations or subscriptions if they expect to hear from you, and don't use Uplance to send spam.
Play fair with the service
Don't create several accounts or workspaces to get more out of the Free plan, share accounts to get around member limits, or resell Uplance without our agreement. Don't interfere with the operation or security of Uplance, and don't access data that isn't yours. If you find a security problem, report it as described at https://uplance.cloud/security instead of exploiting it.
What we do about misuse
If an account or workspace breaks these rules or puts others at risk, we may block the affected destinations for everyone, pause the monitors involved, disable alert channels or status pages, or suspend the workspace or account. Where we can, we tell you what happened and why, and give you the opportunity to respond. Serious or repeated misuse can end the contract.
Reporting misuse
If Uplance is checking your systems without your permission, use the form at https://uplance.cloud/abuse or write to [email protected] with the address being checked and roughly when. We look into every report and can block the destination right away.
