Is Uplance checking your server?
Uplance is an uptime monitoring service. Its customers add the websites, APIs and servers they want watched, and Uplance checks them every few seconds to minutes. Checks identify themselves with this User-Agent:
Uplance/1.0 (+https://uplance.cloud/abuse)
If you didn't ask for these checks, tell us which address receives them. We find the accounts behind them, stop the checks and can block your address for every account, so nobody can point Uplance at it again.
What we already do
- All accounts together send only a limited number of requests a minute to one host.
- Each account has a request budget per minute, and only a limited number of accounts may monitor the same host.
- Checks never reach private or internal network addresses.
Using Uplance against systems you don't operate breaks our acceptable use policy. You can also email [email protected].
