Is your mail server on a blocklist?
A live query to each of the five blocklists that large mail providers actually consult.
Common questions
- Which blocklists are checked?
- zen.spamhaus.org, bl.spamcop.net, b.barracudacentral.org, dnsbl.sorbs.net and psbl.surriel.com.
- It says a list refused to answer. Am I listed?
- No. Some blocklists refuse queries that arrive through heavily used resolvers, and answer with a code that means “ask differently” rather than “listed”. A refusal is reported as a refusal, never as a listing.
- I'm listed. What now?
- Find and stop the cause first — usually a compromised account or a forwarding loop — then use that blocklist's own delisting form. Delisting before the cause is fixed gets you relisted within days.
